Lift My Life Up

Recently I have discovered a new song, that has quickly become my favorite! I think the reason it is one of the best songs I have heard in a long time is because it explains what I am trying to do everyday. I am trying to give God complete control of my life, to let Him have His way in me. It is really easy to listen to this song when everything is going great and be like "Yes! I lift my life up! That's me God!! :)". But what it really comes down to is singing this song when life stinks. When things aren't going your way or they aren't turning out the way that you planned them to be. That is when singing a song like this is really hard. It is easy to give God control when you are happy, but it is most important to give Him control when you are sad. It is at those times when you can evaluate the situation and say "Have I actually given my whole life to Him? Can I say right now Have your way in me and mean it?" I don't know about you, but often I can't say yes during the hard times.  I don't know if we can ever give our selves completely to God without His help. So Lord help me! to give my whole life you to so that I can say Have your way in me!
