IMPACT
When I think of the word impact I think of earth shattering things like this:
and this
Things that are huge and leave an imprint. For the past year I have been doing this job and I haven't really seen any difference - I have just been doing what I need to do to get the job done, but it doesn't seem like I have accomplished anything.
Then I have a conversation with one of the CYIA students. I was able to help and encourage her and at the end she said, "I just want you to know you are a blessing to me." I cried. A few days ago I was texting another CYIA student - and I had this thought "This is why I do what I do!" My impact may never be HUGE or earth shattering, but the Lord is still using me to make a difference. He showed me that it is more like this:
A drop into a large pool and at first you don't see the effect and you think that it has just disappeared into the masses but it creates a ripple that grows. It is bigger than the drop ever could dream to be.
