Verse of the Week: Meeting trials with Joy

James 1:2

Count it all joy, my brothers when you meet trials of various kinds,

James 1:2

I know there are more verses that help complete this thought but for now I am going to focus on counting it all joy. I happened across a message on Saturday night and the Pastor was preaching about the first chapter in James. When we came across this verse he said something that just stood out to me. "People who are mature in Christ (on their way to maturity) know that when they come against trials God is trying to grow them and strengthen them in their walk with him because he loves them!" It was encouraging to hear the Lord say - Charissa even though you aren't there yet you are changing! My response to trials lately has been SO much better than in the past and I am extremely grateful for that! What is your response to trials in your life? Do you meet them with joy?
